Photo essay: Kentucky National Guard support of 2012 Thunder Over Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky National Guard played an important role in support of the biggest airshow in the nation last week. Thunder Over Louisville had an estimated crowd of more than 400,000 and was broadcast to service member stationed in 176 countries and aboard 140 U.S. Navy ships at sea.
In case you’re one of the few who didn’t see the show, we thought you’d like a behind the scenes look at our troops in action as well as a glimpse of the great and wonderful aircraft that took party in this one of a kind show.
Special thanks to Master Sgt. Phil Speck and Spc. David Bolton for their hard work in getting these unique images.
